This Rocky 1st Med boot is completely non-metallic, which permits them to be worn around scanners or in any area that has metal-sensitive machinery. The protective toe is made from high-tech carbon fiber - lighter and stronger than steel. It is certified to the highest level (Class 75) of Impact and Compression protection of ASTM F23413-11 standards. The boot is also constructed to meet the ASTM F2413-11 Electrical Hazard Standard. To protect your feet, from items that could pierce through the bottom of your boot, there's a flexible Lenzi puncture-resistant plate. It meets the ASTM 2413-11 PR standards. It is made from multiple layers of ceramic material; you could compare it to ballistic armor for your feet. The upper is made from black full-grain leather and 900 denier Cordura durable nylon.Every time your foot touches the EVA footbed down, it will be met by relieving cushion. This boot is constructed, using HydroGuardTM, to be blood-borne pathogen resistant. Also, there is a fully gusseted tongue that will aid in blocking liquids from seeping into your boot.The Rocky guaranteed Waterproof Construction stops liquids getting down into your Rocky 1st Med boots. To protect your toes, there is an anti-abrasion tech tuff overlay. The Rocky external molded heel protector also safeguards your boots from getting abrasions while driving or working.
